I have enjoyed teaching at DHS since 2010. Upon successful completion of the TEA certification units and tests in Spring of 2013, I developed the Engineering Math Course curriculum for the District. The following year, I added Technology Certification to my credentials and began teaching Robotics and Automation.
My teaching career began in 2005. Prior to that I worked as a diesel mechanic for Great Lakes Transportation on tug boats and barges. I carried a mechanic’s license with certification in six specialties and worked 10 years in management for Pennzoil. After my mathematics degree, I spent five years as superintendent of properties overseeing renovations and construction.
I have 3 dogs, Roguey Vachon, Scotty Boneman, and Pistol Pete. They have a cat named MooGooGaiPan. Our two bjords (birds) Bjorn and Bjorg keep watch over all of them.
I try to spend time on the pontoon when I’m not taking care of classroom and student needs.
