Family & Consumer Science
I began teaching at Dayton High School in 2002. After 8 wonderful years in the Social Studies Department I transferred to Family and Consumer Sciences. I absolutely love teaching the workforce applications of Career and Technology.
Every student, coworker and administrator has left a wonderful and lasting impression on me that I would not trade for any other experience. As I start my sixteenth year with this district I can not imagine being anything but a Bronco!!
I started my career as a World Geography teacher where I participated in the 9th Grade Initiative. This was a special time as we extended our curriculum to include Teen Leadership and used the ‘Capturing Kids Hearts’ philosophy of teaching.
I am a mother to a young, inquisitive and silly little girl. Every day is a new day of loving and learning with her!!
I have too many hobbies to list. I enjoy working with my hands, whether it being flower arranging, cooking, crafting or refinishing furniture. I would gladly say that laughter is my best 'hobby'!!
