Who is Mrs. St. Julian-Varnon?

 I was born and raised in Dayton, TX and graduated Salutatorian of the class of 2008. I graduated from Swarthmore College, a private liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree in History in May 2012. I also spent time studying History and Russian Language at the University of Oxford, in England, from 2010 to 2011.

I graduated in May 2014 from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with a Master of Arts degree in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. My primary focus during my M.A. was Soviet, Eastern European and European History, and Russian Language.This is my fourth year teaching and I am certified to teach all History courses for grades 7-12. I am also an adjunct professor of History at Lee College in Baytown, TX.

Other interesting facts about me include: I have two adorable rescue dogs, Max and Jimmy;I speak Russian, French and German; I have studied and worked in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Serbia, England and Madagascar; I LOVE to read. My husband is a rocket scientist (literally)!

My courses will be using Google Classroom (Blackboard if you are in Dual Credit) as their primary website.
