Art Teacher
I graduated high school from Brownwood High School in 2004. Go Lions! I played varsity softball, was on the drill team, VP of NHS and competed in UIL One Act Play, and Prose. I attended Texas A&M University from 2004-2006 (Whoop!) and then transferred to a smaller, private liberal arts college called Howard Payne University to study Art. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Communications in 2008.
I am currently working on my Masters of Arts in Art Education through Eastern Illinois University and am on track to graduate May 2021!

I have attended many state art education conferences and I have been to the AP Institute at Rice University for three years!
I taught Art for two years at Kimmie M. Brown elementary, and I am starting my fourth year teaching at Dayton High School. I teach Art 1-4 and AP Art 2D Design and AP Art Drawing. I am also the sponsor for the National Art Honor Society on campus!
My previous work experience includes three years in restaurant management for McAlister’s Deli in Webster, TX, Zoe’s Kitchen in River Oaks and Market Street, and Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe in Rice Village. Before that I was a member services manager for Texas DPS Credit Union in Austin, TX.
I am married to my best friend, Jimmy Sciacca, who is also a Dayton Bronco! He teaches 6th grade Geography at WWJH. We were married in 2014 in Laguna Beach, CA.
We have two sons, Jude and Dominic!
We have one dog, a mutt rottweiler mix named Stella.
Both of our parents live in Dayton or Crosby.
When I’m not teaching I love hanging out with my family, and I am an avid reader. I love to paint, draw, dance, and sing karaoke.
