I graduated high school from Brownwood High School in 2004. Go Lions! I played varsity softball, was on the drill team, VP of NHS and competed in UIL One Act Play, and Prose. I attended Texas A&M University from 2004-2006 (Whoop!) and then transferred to a smaller, private liberal arts college called Howard Payne University to study Art. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Communications in 2008.

I taught Art for two years at Kimmie M. Brown elementary, and I am starting my third year teaching at Dayton High School. I teach Art 1-4 and AP Studio Art 2D Design and AP Studio Art Drawing. I have been the Art Club sponsor for the past two years, but this year we are transitioning to National Art Honor Society instead of Art Club.
My previous work experience includes three years in restaurant management for McAlister’s Deli in Webster, TX, Zoe’s Kitchen in River Oaks and Market Street, and Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe in Rice Village. Before that I was a member services manager for Texas DPS Credit Union in Austin, TX.
I am married to my best friend, Jimmy Sciacca, who is also a Dayton Bronco! He coaches at WWJH and DHS. We were married in 2014 in Laguna Beach, CA.
We have a 2 year old son named Jude, and he is a blast!
We have one dog, a mutt rottweiler mix named Stella.
Both of our parents live in Dayton or Crosby.
When I’m not teaching I love hanging out with my family, and I am an avid reader. I love to paint, draw, dance, and sing karaoke.
