I grow up in California on a ranch. When I was 18 I left home to join the Navy. I was in the Navy from 2000-2006 in the medical field and had two deployments during the Iraq War.
I graduated from Texas A& M in College Station in 2010 with a BA in History and a minor in Anthropology.
This will be my first year in Dayton ISD. I will be teaching World History the first half of the day and at DAEP in the afternoons.
I have been at Chavez HS in Houston ISD for the last 6 years where I taught American and World History. Prior to teaching I spent a little over 5 years in the Navy.
I have been married for 16 years. My husband and I met in Washington State while we were in the Navy. We have two kids. Our daughter Harper is 8 and our son Orin is 6. They attend Anahuac elementary.
Most of my time outside of school is spent hanging out with my kids.
