Expectations:

  • Be nice.
  • Be prompt.
  • When you hear the whistle, everyone should be silent and we should have your complete and undivided attention.

Procedures:

  1. Every student will social distance.
  2. Every student will wear a mask unless allowed to remove.
  3. Every student will need to have appropriate shoes for class.
  4. If a student has been ill, she/he will need a note from the parent or guardian to be excused from participation.  A doctor’s note will be required if a student needs to be excused for more than one day.
  5. All personal belongings will stay with the students in their designated area. Cell phones found out during class will be taken up and turned into the office.
  6. At the beginning of class students will immediately report to their designated area on the gym floor where they will sit in alphabetical order for roll call.  If you are tardy, you must have a pass to get into class.

Materials:

  • Pen/Pencil when needed
  • Court shoes.
  • BYOD when needed.
  • Bring your bottle of water for class. There are no water fountains available in our gym area.

Goals & Objectives:

1.   Students will engage in a variety of activities with numerous opportunities for every student to be successful by demonstrating each activity.

2.   Students will develop good social behaviors by working together within groups and with

       classmates in all activities.                                      

3.   Students will experience competitive and non-competitive activities by participating on a team and on an individual level within class.

4.   Students will develop skill, interest, and appreciation for life-long fitness and recreation by      

       participating in activities outside of class.

 

5.   Students will participate fully for enjoyment and release from emotional strain and tension

       by engaging in each activity.

 

6.   Students will gain an appreciation for life and the amazing capabilities of the human body by

       demonstrating how the body functions in physical activity.

 

Grading:

Written assignments, written tests and skills tests….……………………………40%                      

            Participation for daily mastery of skills………………………………………….……..60%
