Agriscience Teacher
Hello and welcome to my Dayton ISD website! My name is Mrs. Wagner and I am starting my sixth year teaching agriscience here at DHS. I grew up in Kingwood, Texas and graduated from Kingwood Park High School in 2015, where I was heavily involved in the agriculture department and FFA. I attended Sam Houston State University and graduated in 2019….. Eat Em’ Up Kats!!!!!
I recieved my B.S. in Animal Science with Honors from Sam Houston State University in 2019. I minored in Secondary Education and went through the award winning education program where I student taught in New Caney ISD.
This will be my sixth year teaching, and I am very excited to continue my career in Dayton ISD. I teach most of the courses in our Plant Science Pathway, including Floral Design and Advanced Floral Design. I have true passsion for all flowers and plants, and love sharing that with my students.
I completed my student teaching assisgnment through the College of Education at SHSU in New Caney, Texas. I taught Principles of AFNR, Equine Science, Floral Design, and Horticulture. My FFA duties included coaching the vet med CDE team, working with the chapter officer team, and looking over lamb and goat SAE projects.
When I am not teaching, I love to do things outside and enjoy the nature around me. I love taking our boat and jet skis out and swimming in Lake Livingston. I also love baseball, especialy the Houston Astros, and I am the loudest and proudest SHSU alum. A few interesting things about me is that I am left handed and have years of experience caring for whitetail deer in a high-fence operation.
