Lady Bronco Softball 2020

Record of 8-8 before Covid-19 school closure cut our season short. Not the season anyone could have predicted, or wanted, but we would like to honor our 2020 seniors and announce our perpetual awards.

Lady Bronco Seniors 2020

Amanda Carden

Amanda is the daughter of Maxine and Charlie Carden. Amanda has been a four year starter at shortstop for the Lady Broncos. She was named second-team all-district her freshman and sophomore year and was named district defensiv MVP her junior year. Amanda has also been named to the Academic all-district team for the past three years. Throughout high school, she has been involved in National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and FFA. Amanda will be graduating number six in her class. After graduation, Amanda will be continuing her education and softball career at Stephen F. Austin State University. There she plans to major in kinesiology and minor in exercise science. Amanda would like to thank Coach Bell and Coach Moss for always pushing her to be the best player and person she could be. She would also like to thank her parents for always being her biggest supporters and always pushing her to be the best she could possibly be. Finally, she would like to say thank you to her fellow seniors, for making the past four years nothing less than exciting. As always, Go Broncos!

Paige Lott

Paige has been a varsity softball starter all four years of her high school career. Within these four years, she has achieved academic All-District every year, honorable mention and first team all district as an outfielder. As a dominant utility player, Paige has also played catcher, short stop, second base, and pitched for the Lady Broncos. Paige is also a member of National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, HOSA, PALS, and Student Council. Paige will also graduate 11th in her class. After graduation Paige will continue her education and softball career at the University of Houston where she will major in nursing. Paige would like to thank her parents, teachers, and coaches for pushing her to be her very best which has enabled her to be a success. Paige would like to give a special thanks to her Senior Girls, Coach Bell, and Coach Moss for making her high school experience unforgettable. Thank you Lady Bronco Softball for the lasting memories and friendships!

Haylie Burns

Haylie is the daughter of Joe and Tiffany Burns. Haylie has been a four year varsity softball player for the Dayton Lady Broncos. Of those four years Haylie was selected to the District Honorable Mention team, 2nd Team All District and has been the recipient of the Ashley May Spirit Award the past 3 years. Haylie has been a 3 time regional qualifier in power lifting and is also a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, Haylie will attend Texas A&M where she will pursue a career as a pediatric nurse with hopes of working for Texas Children’s Hospital.

Kenzie Kimbro

Kenzie is the daughter of Brandi Crockett. Kenzie has been a two year returning letterman for the Lady Broncos. Moved to varsity her sophomore year as a utility player Continued playing her Junior year as the starting second basemen then went on to be a three position player her Senior year. Through her four years at Dayton High School Kenzie was involved in HOSA, FFA, and was president of DYAC. Kenzie was also a member of journey Fellowship and played multiple sports. Kenzie will be continuing her at Lee college where she will be studying GSI mapping. Kenzie would like to think her family and extended family for being there for her and always being her biggest supporters. She would also like to thank Coach Moss aka Team Dad and Coach Bell for making her a better person and teammate on and off the field and pushing her to be her very best. Finally, she would like to think her teammates and friends for making her last four years nothing but the best. Once a Bronco Always a Bronco!
