Meet the Volleyball Coaches

Coach McCall

Coach McCall will be joining the Bronco family next season! She is currently finishing her 5th year of teaching at Splendora ISD where she was the head volleyball coach for three years. During that time, the LadyCats broke the school record for wins and the furthest playoff run, punching a ticket to the regional tournament. 

Coach McCall graduated from Tarkington High School and continued playing volleyball at the collegiate level on scholarship for Wharton County Junior College and The University of St. Thomas. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

Coach McCall and her fiance, Johnathon Valka, look forward to the upcoming seasons and cheering on the Broncos!

 

Coach Janik

Coach Janik was born and raised in Dayton, Texas, where she graduated in the class of 2004. She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, WHOOP!  Coach Janik and her husband, Dustin, have been married for seven years and have one dog, Mia. They enjoy spending time together on the farm, vacationing outdoors, and spending quality time with their family and friends. Coach Janik is currently finishing her twelfth year of teaching and coaching at DHS! She has taught Biology, Chemistry, Math Models, Algebra 2, and now teaches Algebra 1. Throughout her coaching career, she has coached junior high volleyball, basketball, and track; JV softball and soccer; and high school track. Coach Janik is currently an assistant volleyball coach and the head girls' soccer coach. Teamwork, consistency, fundamentals, leadership, and PURPLE pride are just a few qualities that she strives for in the classroom and in our athletic programs!

 

 

Coach SullivanSullivan

Coach Sullivan is currently in her 6th year of teaching and coaching and 4th year of being a Bronco. Coach Sullivan attended Tarleton State University on a track scholarship. After 2 years at Tarleton, she transferred to Sam Houston State University where she graduated in 2016. Her first two years of teaching and coaching were back in her home town of New Waverly, TX. On March 19, 2021, she married a DHS 2012 graduate, Logan Sullivan, and they now reside in Dayton, TX. Coach Sullivan looks forward to another great year and great season with the Lady Broncos!!
