Previous Position:

I have been a special education teacher for 22 years.   I started my career in Aldine teaching in the resource classroom.   I have 9 years experience teaching students in the Applied Skills program in Humble ISD.   I am so excited to teaching high school level life skills!

Family Information:

I will be celebrating my 21st wedding anniversary this year!

I have 3 adopted children.  They are attending school in Humble ISD.  My daughter is in 10th grade this year. This wants to become a lawyer.  My oldest son will be an 8th grader and he will play football for the first time.  My youngest son will be a big 3rd grader.  My youngest son has autism and we learn every day what it means to be a parent of a special needs child, the challenges and the triumphs!

I have 3 dogs.  I have 2 little dogs and a lab mix we adopted from the city pound.

Personal Information:

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and hiking with my kids, and finding home improvement projects to do.   I am aspiring to be a writer.  I have written a fictional adoption story that is in the process of being published.  I am also trying my hand at fantesy writing.  I am currently trying to write a book titled “The Amestyst Stone: Chronicles of the Lost Prince.”  It is based on an adventure story I made up with my kids as we were hiking along the creek behind our house.
